It's a new year and you've probably made some resolutions to improve yourself or meet certain personal goals. For many of us, these commitments are often financial ones. Whether we're planning to pay off debt, purchase a new car or buy a home, our credit scores usually play an important role.

If you're considering any kind of loan, you're probably already aware that interest rates are quite high right now. Boosting your credit score in 2023 can help you achieve not only a lower interest rate, but better loan terms in general. Keep reading to learn exactly how you can benefit.

How Can I Boost My Credit Score in 2023?

There are several methods for improving your credit score. These include:

  • Paying down existing balances
  • Continuing to make on-time payments
  • Repairing any errors on your credit report
  • Disputing or resolving delinquencies

The four points mentioned above are key to a clean and healthy report, but they take time. Additionally, they're not always simple to do. However, if none of these factors are a problem for you then you may be seeking other options for boosting your credit score this year.

Doing the most basic search on Google or YouTube will yield thousands of results about boosting your credit score, but the vast majority cover what we've already mentioned above - rehashing the same subjects over and over. On the other hand, you'll also see many results (especially on YouTube) about "how to boost your credit in 24 hours" and things of that nature. Is this really plausible? Can you take actions that change your score in just a day?

Can I Boost My Credit Score in 24 Hours?

The technical answer is no. First off, many people are selling scams, false promises, and stretching the truth. "Raise Your Credit Overnight" is a popular phrase that comes to mind but it's not factual nor reasonable.

For example, if you paid off all (or a large part) of your debts - especially credit cards - on a day before the billing cycle for that account ended, it would post to your account and within a few days your new statement would show your new and much lower balance. Yet even then, you'd have to rely on the lender to report to the credit bureaus for the new change to be reflected on your score. This cannot and will not happen overnight, or in a mere 24 hours. The same could be said for resolving any errors or delinquencies on your credit report. While they may take less than 24 hours to execute on your behalf, the results will not show right away. In other words, these claims of instant/overnight credit boosting tricks are simply nothing more than half-truths if not outright lies.

There is no honest and legal way to magically improve your score in such a short period of time. There is, however, a way to genuinely, legally, safely, and quickly boost your credit score within as little as 3 to 4 weeks and it works extremely well.

How Can I Quickly Boost My credit Score?

The one true way to raise your credit score by a large margin within a short period of time (without having previously had high balances and paid them all down to zero) is by becoming an authorized user of another person's credit card. This means the primary card holder will add you to their account, and the history of that card (the balance, payments, age, and usage) will be counted and reflected on your credit report. If the account has an old age and high credit limit while showing a perfect payment history, it can make a very large positive difference in your overall credit score. Of course there are several factors that come into play such as the balances, usage, and age of your own credit cards and loans, but depending where you stand and what accounts you become an authorized user on the result can be downright incredible.

It's estimated that over 33% of Americans are benefiting from authorized user tradelines. It's safe to say that a majority of these people were added as users by their spouses or family members. Many times, parents or grandparents will add their younger generations as authorized users on their high-limit cards as a way for those with less credit history to gain an early and quick advantage. But not everyone has someone willing or able to do this for them. And secondly, even if you do have someone, there's no guarantee it will make a difference if your credit history is already established, clean, and has some weight to it.

Becoming an authorized user is most beneficial to those who have no credit, less credit, lower limits, and shorter account age than the account they're going to be added to. This makes it critical to have a set of standards or minimum requirements for any credit line you'll be using to improve your credit. You need to take your specific financial situation and your current intentions into account before taking action.

For example, becoming an authorized user can and will raise a younger persons credit when they only have a card or two, less than a few years of combined credit history, and an already decent score with no negative remarks. However, that single account needs to be strong, well-aged, and in excellent standing. This will help the user obtain their own cards more easily, be approved for loans, and generally hold a stronger score for the long run.

But there's another group of people who may be needing to raise their credit score for other reasons and from a very different perspective. This could be anyone who already has good credit and a healthy history but wants to reach their maximum possible score to achieve a loan they may not be approved for, get a significantly lower interest rate for a mortgage, or extremely favorable terms for the purchase of a new vehicle with out having to put money down, etc..

Thesecond group of people mentioned above are those who need to consider the power of buying tradelines. Yes, that is correct. Rather than be added by a friend or family member, you can purchase a spot on the credit card of someone (or several people) and make a giant impact on your score in a short period of time.

How Does Buying Tradelines Boost My Credit Score?

Tradelines are a simple term for any line of credit that is issued by a lending institution. You may or may not have heard of the term before, but if you have your own credit cards, the lending bank institution you received them from essentially issued a credit line (or tradeline of credit) to you when they gave you the card. Going to a company and buying tradelines is a very different process than obtaining a credit card. However, it works very similarly in the aspect that it does impact your credit report in a good way - assuming it's done correctly.

It works like this:

  • You find a reputable and reliable company who has credit card tradelines for sale
  • You buy the tradelines that you need from this company
  • You are added as an authorized user on those credit cards
  • When the card issuer reports to the credit bureau, your status as an authorized user is also reported
  • The credit bureaus then add the information and history of the purchased tradelines to your credit report
  • Your credit score reflects the positive leverage that these tradelines produce for you

And it's literally that easy. You simply buy tradelines, and they work for you in a way that effectively boosts your credit score. Once the increased score is live and functional (meaning the authorized user status has appeared on your credit report), you can apply for the loans you need while ensuring you'll get the best rates and repayment terms possible. As long as you don't have bad or severely over-extended debt, buying tradelines does work almost like magic.

But hang on for just a minute. Before you rush out and by the first tradelines you see, it's important to know what your goals are and to have an intended use for your purchase. Why? Because buying tradelines is not cheap and you're not paying to become a permanent authorized user. You're acquiring what you need to meet a specific financial goal, and paying a fee for doing so.

Additionally, understand that you're not going to receive a physical card or be able to make purchases with these tradelines as if they were actually money or credit. The sole purpose of buying authorized user tradelines is the power they have to boost your credit score fast, safe, and easily.
