FAQ About Selling Tradelines
What are tradelines?
A tradeline, or Authorized User tradeline, is an open Authorized User slot on a credit card. A person added to this slot as an authorized user will more than likely get his credit score increased while they are holding this slot. It happens if this card has a big limit and a long account age, and doesn't have any negative history such as late payments.
What does GFS Group do?
We develop and support our website, and drive internet traffic to it while building partnerships with wholesale buyers (credit repair companies, mortgage brokers, realtors, etc). Your Authorized User (AU) slots are advertised on our website as tradelines available for purchase. People who need to temporarily boost their credit score buy your tradeline. Once that happens, we pay you your share of the money received from a buyer.
What’s my part of the job?
Your first step is to create a seller account on our website, and then “upload” your cards for review. By “uploading”, we mean just letting us know what cards you want to monetize with us. We only need to know the name of the bank, credit limit, date of opening an account, and statement date. We never ask for any sensitive information such as any digits printed on a card, expiration date, or security code. Only YOU know your card information and GFS Grooup will never request images or copies of your card.
After you submit your cards, we will review your application and approve/decline all or some of your cards based on their statistics. You will be notified about the result via email. Approved cards will immediately appear (by bank name, age, and credit limit) in our tradeline inventory and become available for purchasing by our clients.
Once one of your listed tradelines gets purchased, we will notify you. At that point, all you need to do is to add the buyer's details to your card by following our instructions for adding the authorized user. After we make sure that the tradeline has successfully posted to the client’s credit report (usually around 3 weeks) you’ll get a notification with the instructions on how to send us a payment request so we can pay you your quoted commission(s).
After we send your payment, nothing more is required until we notify you to remove the authorized user from your account (approx 60 days after it posts to their credit profile). Unless the client asks for an extension (which you will receive additional payment for on a case-by-case basis), you would then remove that person from your card, and your AU slot on this card will become available for purchasing again.
Is it safe and legal?
First, it is legal as it is regulated by the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), 1974, which is still relevant. Also, it is 100% safe as a tradeline buyer never gets a copy of your card or any other kind of access to your account, so they can't do anything to your balance or credit history. Over the years we haven’t had a single case of unauthorized access to a seller's credit card. It is just technically impossible.
What if the Authorized User tries to make purchases on my card?
It is technically not possible. Authorized Users never get a copy of the credit card. It is sent directly to your address on the account. Even if they try to call for a replacement card, they won't have the information needed to "verify" your account (such as the last 4 of your social, your DOB, or any other information concerning you). Even if they could order a new card, the replacement card is always sent to the cardholder’s address. As authorized users, they can't change any info on the account, nor can they get a card shipped to them. They'll be on the account for approximately two months and then removed with no access to do anything on the account and with no account information or the ability to make purchases.
In our 8+ years of business, we have NEVER had a single case of an AU getting a card and using it to make purchases. We have also never heard of other tradeline companies ever having an issue with this either. This is because it is technically impossible. So, as you can see, your credit card, your identity, and your information are never jeopardized.
How am I protected?
No fake IDs:
We only accept purchases made by individuals with a real identity. We don’t work with or allow any buyer who uses or attempts to use a CPN, ITIN, or any other gray/fake ID. We manually check official databases to confirm the identity of every order to protect you as a cardholder and avoid added malicious users to your accounts.
No credit damage:
Adding authorized users doesn’t affect your credit in any possible way, so you can rest assured there’s no harm to your credit connected with selling tradelines.
You’re always anonymous:
Authorized Users don't receive any information about you (name, address, etc.). They don’t know anything about your card either (except its limit, age, and current utilization rate).
No access to your money:
When you add an authorized user, they never get a copy of the card. The lending bank/institution will send the card directly to you, at your address on the account. Even if the authorized user tried to call for a replacement card, they won\'t have the personal information needed to "verify" your account with the bank (such as the last 4 of your social, your DOB, etc). Authorized users have no means of making any changes to your account or getting a card shipped to them. There is no risk of them accessing or utilizing your card for any type of purchase.

We have an exhaustive set of instructions, the Ultimate Guide to Authorized User Tradelines posted on our blog where we cover tradeline selling along with all other aspects of this industry.
What cards do you accept?

We only accept cards with a spotless credit history, no late payments, and a utilization rate under 10%. In the future, if you want to utilize more funds, you’ll be able to temporarily (or permanently) hide your card(s) from our inventory to avoid adding an AU to a maxed out card.

How much do you pay?
The commissions you’ll be paid depend on each tradeline’s credit limit and account age. You can view and download our seller's commission schedule here to see exactly how much we pay based on your card's details.
Payments range from $40 to $550+ per sale. GFS Group pays higher commissions than any of our competitors. All you need to do is add the authorized users to your cards when sales are made, and remove them when we advise you to do so.
As a tradeline seller, you can also participate in our referral program. This allows you to earn a full commission payment for each approved card uploaded by a new seller once they complete their 2nd sale on that card. There's no limit on how many people you can refer, or on how many cards you're eligible to receive a commission on.
To learn more, please see our blog entry for complete details on how to make extra money referring new cardholders.
PLEASE NOTE: Commissions are paid one (1) time for each sale you make. To clarify, you will be paid once for each AU who purchases your card. This means the commission is per sale, NOT per month. How many Authorized Users can I add each month?
We recommend that our cardholders sell no more than 2 to 3 AUs (per card) at any given time. This is to protect you and your card from a premature closure. In addition, some banking institutions have their own limit on the number of AUs who can be added over a specified period of time, or, over the lifetime of the card.
We will advise you on the maximum number of users we will permit for each card when providing your quote once you have signed up with us.
How long does it take to get payments?
It depends on your card’s statement day. Usually our clients purchase a tradeline 1-2 weeks before the nearest statement date. Then it takes around 2 weeks (sometimes a bit longer) for a tradeline to post, and for us to make sure that it’s there. Right after we confirm it, we will then authorize and send your payment via direct deposit.
Since we allow our clients to purchase a tradeline not later than 3 days before the nearest statement date, your shortest waiting time will be 24 days. Statistically the average time to wait for a payment is 35 days.
